The U niversity of Chicago named a university scholar 400-NAACP Garland branch academic scolarships for having the highest grade point average (GPA) of all other African Americans seniors in the entire Garland Indepent School District (GISD)

team ... team Offensive Player of the Year averaging 18 points, five
rebounds and four assists per game ... McDonald’s All-American nominee ...
first-team all district, team co-MVP and Offensive Player of the Year as a
junior ... high school coach was Randy Love ... also played for the LBA
Seawolves AAU team directed by coach Lawrence Johns ... chose CMU
over Santa Clara, SMU, TCU, Wichita State, Boise State, Oral Roberts
and Southern University.

Coach Zeigler on Craddock: “Finis brings an athletic presence to the
backcourt which was sorely needed.  He has the ability to make plays
and has the potential to be a great defender.  His versatility will play a
big part in his battle for playing time next season as he can play at
multiple positions.”
